We have introduced a number of changes and enhancements in cairo.B2C. Below is the complete list of changes and new features.
- Plugin – Product Accessories : a new type of plugin has been introduced, which enables displaying accessories related to the currently viewed product. Locations where this plugin can be placed include: product page, cart, modal when adding a product to the cart, order details, and favorites.
- Removal of “Remember Me”: the method for handling the persistence of logged-in users has been changed, so that customers now automatically have an “eternal” session.
- Hardcoding the Menu Template : a new menu layout has been added – the main columnar menu.
- Modification of the Mobile Menu : the mobile menu has been expanded with two buttons; one allows direct navigation to the target page, while the other (an arrow) opens a submenu.
- Separate MMT on the Product List : an improvement in the handling of the “change vehicle” button displayed on the product list after selecting the vehicle context. This functionality has been separated from the search engine and its MMT module.
- B2C Cart Fixes : a label with the field name has been added, which is displayed when entering text in the contact/address fields. The text “Currently selected pickup point” has been changed to “Currently selected Parcel Locker”.
- Collapsible Categories : added support for collapsing/expanding the category tree displayed on the vehicle page and the manufacturer page.
- Excluding Discounted Products in Promotions : in discount campaigns, the option to exclude discounted products has been added. For this functionality to work, when creating a campaign in the filtering tab, you must enable filtering of products by ERP or TecDoc category and select “Only non-discounted products”. Discounted products are those that have a lower sale price than the catalog price.
- Additional Filtering Method in Discount Codes : an option has been added to filter by any category in which the product appears, rather than only the main category as was previously the case.
- Modification of the Budy Search Engine : a new type of product list has been introduced that displays all products from the database. This overview is used for generating, for example, all promotional products.
- Adding a New Product Selection Criterion in the “Promoted Products List” Plugin : a new option “Latest” has been added to the selection list “Subset (selection criteria) of products”, which selects the most recently added products to the database.
- Product Page – Thumbnail Slider Mechanism : on the product page, instead of a thumbnail view of images, a slider has been introduced. Its appearance depends on the number of images and the page’s display width.
- Product Stock – Option to Order Without Stock Check : a new product type has been added (in addition to regular, catalog, or archived) that allows selling a product without a stock check (even when warehouse records are absent). Mainly used for variants, such a product essentially acts as a purchase configurator based on features. Additionally, the delivery time (in hours) can be personalized, and this information is displayed, for example, on the product page.
- Fix for SELECT2 Search of TD and ERP Categories : in the filtering tab (e.g., when creating a new plugin), the ability to search and set the main category (e.g., Brakes) has been added instead of, as before, selecting a subcategory (i.e., brakes/disc brakes).
- Optimization of Generating Image Tags cd. : optimization of image tag generation, including changing the HTML code from <img> to <picture>
- Fileproxy – Modifications : support for generating thumbnails and images with the *.webp extension has been introduced.
- Transferring Data to Invoices from Contact Information + Integration with GUS: a new functionality has been introduced that allows retrieving information from GUS for a specified NIP number. This feature facilitates filling out the form when customers purchase on invoice. The data is retrieved only from the Polish GUS. The data retrieval form is protected against bots using Google captcha and requires entering a captcha key for the specified service.
- Apisync: adding two new fields that allow for handling the dimensions of the product packaging and transmitting information about the expected availability date of the product
- Image Lens in Low Resolutions: improvement of the image magnifier function on the product page. This change eliminates the inconvenience of the cursor position being indicated incorrectly when displaying high-resolution images on low-resolution screens.
- Implementation of Photo Order in Product Image Sliders : in the latest software version, a feature has been introduced that allows determining the order of displayed product images in sliders on the product page. Images provided by the ERP system can now be arranged according to user preferences. This change makes the presentation of products on the site more flexible and tailored to individual needs, thereby improving the user experience.
- DPD Pickup Integration : integration with DPD Pickup courier services has been added. It allows users to quickly and conveniently send and receive shipments at DPD Pickup points. Thanks to this feature, customers can now choose a convenient parcel pickup location, increasing the flexibility and comfort of using courier services.
- Orlen Paczka Integration : integration with Orlen Paczka courier services has been added. It enables users to quickly and conveniently send and receive shipments at Orlen Paczka points, such as gas stations, kiosks, and parcel machines. Thanks to this feature, customers can now choose a convenient parcel pickup location, increasing the flexibility and comfort of using courier services.
- Custom MMT – Addition to the MMT Plugin : the ability to build a custom MMT scheme has been introduced. Users can now search within it and link products to created vehicles, similar to the Tecdoc MMT function. Data is fed by sending the appropriate information from the ERP system, ensuring consistency and up-to-date data. This change makes managing vehicle and product data more flexible and tailored to the individual needs of users.
- View of Products Purchased by the User in the Client Account : adding the possibility in the client account to display the history of purchased products. The displayed data includes information about:
– the lowest and highest purchase price of the product,
– the dates on which the purchase was made
– the quantity of units purchased on a given day
– this functionality complements the order history view, significantly facilitating the retrieval of a product's purchase history
- Elimination of Duplicate Filter Fields in pluginData : this fix aims to increase the website’s loading speed, especially on pages with many filters. As a result, users can browse and use the filtering functions on the site more quickly, which positively impacts SEO by improving metrics such as page load time.
