What’s new in the cairo.ERP and cairo.WMS systems?

In recent months, we have implemented a series of changes and new features in the cairo.ERP and cairo.WMS systems. We developed them with your comfort in mind and to enhance operational efficiency.

A new feature we would like to draw your particular attention to is the introduction of a module in cairo.ERP/WMS, which provides information about implemented changes and includes articles with tips for effective usage. You can view this information by pressing the F12 key, and each time a new article appears, it will be signaled by a message on the top bar. The content will be published regularly to support users in operating the system.

We present all the key changes that will certainly contribute to improving your operations below :

  • cairo.ERP / PRODUCT CATALOG – In the PRODUCT CATALOG module, in the GENERAL DATA section, an option has been added to set the “UNAVAILABLE FOR DROPSHIPPING” flag. This allows marking goods that are excluded from generating price lists for dropshipping customers.
  • cairo.ERP /COLLECT IN PERSON – An option has been added to configure in the FALCON > ADMINISTRATION > PARAMETERS > DIRECT CONNECTIONS > DBFD > WEBSERVICE – COLLECT IN PERSON , which allows selecting route 111A (default) or 111B. This new configuration provides better control over the order processing process.
  • cairo.ERP / MINIMUM RESERVATION VALUE – The operation of the minimum reservation value control has been modified so that the first order of a given day must always meet a specified minimum. Subsequent orders, if added to previously placed ones, no longer need to exceed the set minimum. This change allows for precise control while maintaining maximum flexibility from the customer’s perspective.
  • cairo.ERP / PRODUCT CATALOG – It is now possible to define the UFI NUMBER for each product. This information is available in warehouse views, product catalogs, data exports and imports, and in the price list generation module for customers.
  • cairo.ERP / BATCH VALUE CORRECTIONS – A new option has been introduced: SALES > INVOICE CORRECTIONS > “->” > VALUE CORRECTION: EXCHANGE RATE CHANGE. This allows correcting the currency rate on a document. The change enables precise adjustment of the document’s value according to the current exchange rate.
  • cairo.ERP / CREDIT LIMIT – The CREDIT LIMIT field in the customer terms of sale has been increased to 8 characters before the decimal point, enabling the entry of higher credit values.
  • cairo.ERP / SPECIAL PRICES – Automation of cyclic import of special prices has been implemented. Interested parties are encouraged to contact the support service for implementation.
  • cairo.ERP / BASELINKER – The BASELINKER integration has been enhanced to include sending data about the tracking number generated for the packed shipment.
  • cairo.ERP / ORDERS TO SUPPLIERS – The ability to assign orders to suppliers and link them to the warehouse where the delivery will be received has been introduced. This facilitates management of multiple purchasing warehouses and independent generation of supplier orders, especially useful when organizing warehouses acting as hubs for other warehouses in the network.
  • cairo.ERP / PRODUCT CATALOG – A quick selection feature has been added to mark all substitutes of a selected product.
  • cairo.ERP / DAILY INVENTORY – The time required to generate daily inventory reports in SQL-based systems has been significantly reduced, saving time on repetitive tasks.
  • cairo.ERP / DOCUMENT REPORTS – It is now possible to define additional static texts in the print profiles of document summaries. Additionally, the report can be extended with a list of packages related to the document, enabling comprehensive reporting of documents and package details delivered to the recipient. This is especially useful for international shipments.
  • cairo.ERP / PRODUCTION – In the production module, the ability to assign comments and images to products for specified sections has been added, streamlining workflow as operators see only relevant information.
  • cairo.ERP / LANGUAGES – Support for the French language has been introduced, allowing operation in French as well as defining product and service names in this language.
  • cairo.ERP / INCOTERMS – The option to set a default Incoterms code for a contractor has been added. It will be suggested in all transactions where its use is required.
  • cairo.ERP / INTER-WAREHOUSE ORDERS / HUB – Support for HUB warehouses has been implemented, enabling a central warehouse role for nearby branches. This affects the ordering process between warehouses and the handling of such orders in WMS, optimizing warehouse and transport processes. For details, please contact our support service.
  • cairo.ERP / TERMS OF SALE – New permissions have been introduced to limit operators’ ability to define customer terms of sale by product groups. Currently, operators can be granted access only to edit discounts/surcharges within a specific period. Additionally, operator parameters can specify the maximum duration of such periods, allowing more precise control over operator permissions.
  • cairo.ERP / BANK STATEMENTS – A new bank statement import module has been introduced to reduce the time spent on bank statement processing. The system will automatically suggest matching documents based on analyzing the transfer description, with operators only confirming matches or handling unmatched transfers. Feedback and suggestions for improvements are welcome.
  • cairo.ERP / DIRECT CONNECTIONS – The communication method with INTER-TEAM has been optimized to prevent previous connection issues.
  • cairo.ERP / XML DEDUCTION – Support for the contractor’s EORI number has been added in XML deductions.
  • cairo.ERP / ROUTE BILLING – When issuing sales documents for a closed route, a parameter has been added to specify whether to generate a separate receipt for each allocation or a single receipt for all shipments for a customer.
  • cairo.ERP / ALLOCATIONS – A new service function allows shifting all open allocations from multiple warehouses to the next month in a single operation, replacing the previous need to do so per warehouse.
  • cairo.WMS / NEWS – A new module providing updates about system changes and tips for effective use has been added. Information is accessible via F12, with notifications appearing when new articles are published, supporting user awareness.
  • cairo.WMS / ROUTES – A new parameter has been added to route definitions indicating whether warehouse staff should receive an additional message upon completion of document packing.
  • cairo.WMS / BOXES – A new view displaying all boxes containing transferred goods has been added from the ERP level, with the option to convert selected boxes into allocation documents.
  • cairo.WMS / BOXES – The “BOXES” parameter will be replaced by “REQUIRE ISSUING TO BOX” which makes boxes always active in the system. The new setting only determines whether issuing to boxes is mandatory in the warehouse process, ensuring consistency and eliminating potential ambiguities.
  • cairo.WMS / TRANSPORT LISTS – A new parameter “TRANSPORT LIST – Require scanning of tracking number” has been added at the route level (WMS > ROUTE DISPATCH > F10). When scanning a package during loading, a window prompts for the tracking number; if the package has a tracking number, the code is validated, and scanning cannot be skipped. Additionally, warehouse parameters now allow printing the scanned tracking number with date and time, disabled by default.
  • cairo.WMS / KURER API INTEGRATION – A new version of the DHL API handling has been implemented to meet the latest DHL requirements. Users generating shipping labels via DHL are encouraged to contact support to arrange migration from the current module.
  • cairo.WMS / PACKAGES – In the packages module, pressing F8 allows editing dimensions (x, y, z) and weight. Access requires permission “MANAGEMENT >> PACKAGES – EDIT DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT”. This change enables operators with permissions to fill in missing data, avoiding issues with labels and package closure.
  • cairo.WMS / PRODUCT PACKAGING – A new module “OVERAGES IN BOXES” has been added to record excess goods found during packaging. This facilitates managing overages and verifying their sources within the warehouse process. The change provides full control over overages in the system and improves warehouse operation accuracy. For details, please contact support.
  • cairo.WMS / WORK STATISTICS – The work statistics for warehouse staff have been thoroughly redesigned. Each performed activity is now recorded independently, allowing for precise calculation of operator, sector, and size group KPIs. This enables highly customizable and fair employee performance assessments. For more details, please contact our support.
  • cairo.WMS / WORK STATISTICS – Support for counting re-packing and courier shipping notifications has been added, enabling comprehensive employee performance tracking.
